  anybody go to another church yet?

  having left 18 months ago .

  i still feel a spiritual need in the way that i do beleive there is a creator and after having done a lot of research on bible arecheaology i beleive the bible is correct.

  however we have been taught so much dogma amongst christianity have any of you got to the point yet of going to any other religious meeting.

  being brought up in the borg since birth, i beleived everything my parents taught me and showed me, i looked up to them, they were my heroes in life.. now, i look back, they lied to me, cheated me, mislead me, did not look out for my best interests, and abadonned me when i needed them the most,.

  i have nothing good to say about them (or my brothers and sisters), like to tie them both to a tree and ----- them.

  they are very stupid people.. i'm sure i will wrestle with this the rest of my life.. thanks so much watchtower bible and tract society !!!!!!!!!!

  I love my parents! They did the best job they knew how with the tools available to them.

  They currently are very active and happy inside the organization, with a great circle of friends; why deny them this satisfaction in their golden years?!

  So what if I missed out on celebrating holidays, birthdays, and if they had us all sit through endless meetings! Not a big deal when you look at the big picture and the end result.

  All things considered, they did a pretty good job with me and my siblings, and for that I'll be eternally thankful to them both.

  Now that I've been missing so many meetings and turning in the lowest FS time possible, I'm pretty sure a few people in the cong have me "marked". But, if I cared any less about it I'd be dead.

  Holidays have no meaning whatsoever - Perhaps because of JW upbringing?!

  i find myself going through the motions whenever holiday time rolls around, you know, just going with the crowd, etc., but in my heart of hearts holidays mean nothing to me; so i don't ever feel like decorating or doing anything personally that is holiday-related.

  am i the only one who feels this way?

  could it be a result of my jw upbringing?

  i knew of a couple that left their mates so that they could be with one another.

  the elders promptly disfellowshipped them.

  the couple made it known immediately, that they were going to apply for reinstatement as soon as possible.

  Let them attend another cong where they know less about their scummy, treacherous behavior.

  Good old un-written JW grey rule:

  • Do not purchase or contribute any items to orgs like Salvation Army or Good Will stores. They're Satan's false religious organizations and shouldn't contribute to their riches.
  • Do not purchase any items from second-hand stores or yard sales. Those items might bring demons into your home.

  so, i got home from my tryst and sure enough, everyone knew all the details.

  so a judicial comittee was set up.

  i was accused of coercing a happily married woman to drive 8 hours to spend 4 days with me in various hotel rooms all at her husband's expense.

  How much do the elders lie when the Overseer visits the Cong?

  the other day when the overseer was over, he started talking about how good the cong was and how it was the best as far as publishers.

  he mentioned that we only had 0 irregular, and 0 inactive publishers.
